The Sun Returning, ongoing

C-prints, 30’’ x 40’’

These photographs document split second realities from four miles above in a passenger airplane. Each photograph captures the sun reflecting off of a body of water. Different amounts of atmosphere lend to the various levels of abstraction, with the land below being occasionally obscured from view. The reflections and imperfections of a dirty airplane window add an extra layer to the already impossible vantage points.
